Having seen what’s on offer in Woolgoolga, (complete with brown carpets and 1970s furniture) we have opted to rent the house next door to John & Steph. Both properties are only a year old with brand new appliances & furniture, just 2 minutes walk from the beach and shops.It’s great to unpack the bags, hang your stuff in a wardrobe and be able to buy ingredients for proper meals and items that you just can’t carry around, like balsamic vinegar, mustard, olive oil and curry paste!
Andy was delighted to find this in the local supermarket… Not sure if this is just special edition packaging or if ‘My Mate’ is how Marmite will be marketed here. Personally, I can’t stand the stuff and don’t get involved in the Aussie/Pom arguments about the virtues of Vegemite vs Marmite. (Both are brown, sticky, smelly and made from yeast - so why anyone would put it in their mouths is beyond me!)
