We have decided that the BVIs are home to the friendliest ex-pats in the world. Within a few weeks we have been introduced to a fantastic crowd and they have all been extremely helpful and welcoming.
Emma & Seb, Carina & John pictured here, come to Cooper for lunch quite frequently and one day they collected us and took us to Norman Island - home of the infamous Willy-T's.
The photo album on the bar shows what the tourists get up to once they have enough rum inside them. Impromptu nakedness, body-shots, whipped cream in a can - you name it, they do it. Even during the day they shed all their inhibitions and jump topless/naked from the top deck!
What else happened...we had a great waterspout between us and Tortola.
Sail Caribbean Divers organised a beach clean-up on Sept 20th (happy birthday mum!). They pulled up all the things that fall overboard from the yachts during the season - including someone's Ipod ... bet they were gutted when that happened!
Lastie & Biltong now come to Cooper whenever their owners are on duty over here. They are helping to socialise Bella (who has no idea she is a dog).
The M/V William Thornton II (the 1st one sank) is a floating bar & restaurant moored at Norman Bight, with a true 'party boat' reputation.

Like Britain, it's illegal to smoke in a public place in the BVI's... so I snapped Seb 'not smoking' in front of the sign.

The quake hit about 60 miles away from Tortola at around 6:40am. I was still in bed of course, and me and the bed were wobbling all over the place.... very weird.
Tom from Sail Caribbean Divers was trying to get us to take one of his puppies. Luckily, we did not see them until they were all spoken for - otherwise we wouldn't have been able to resist.....
