Sunday + a strong wind meant blue skies above Beijing and we headed off on foot to see the city.
The centre of Beijing is full of very upscale shopping malls with lots of designer shops, department stores, Starbucks, etc. This 4m high CK Jeans-sculpture was in one of the malls and we seem to see photo shoots and promotions going on everywhere.
On Sunday night we met up with our tour group – Amie & Luke (English couple), Ruth (from Scotland), Ina (German girl currently living in New Zealand) and our tour leader, Annette (ex-cop from San Francisco). Well-chuffed that we have such a small group and they are all really nice people so even the ‘organized tour’ bits will be fun.
