In the morning, we took a taxi to the Temple of Heaven - the largest architectural worship complex in the world. Built in 1420 for emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties to offer sacrifices to heaven for a plentiful harvest, it covers 273 hectares of gardens and buildings.
Notice the smog? Apparently it only clears when the factories close at weekends or during strong winds.
