Took a local train to Kameoka and did a river boat trip down the Hozu River down a series of rapids and through the valley to Arashiyama.
All very tame and relaxing – until we got grounded on a rock and they had to jump out and prise us off – very funny.
Ryoanji – very Zen
Ryoanji is the home of the Zen Rock Garden and Rokuon-ji, the Golden-Pavillion is in the north of Kyoto. Very beautiful, but getting a bit templed-out by this time.
