Had a free day today so took the 2hr trip on the Shinkansen to Hiroshima. The island of Miyajima is nearby so we decided to go there first and beat the crowds. At the Miyajima ferry terminal, deer loiter around getting patted and fed by the tourists.
We walked past the famous floating Torii gate and got the cable car up to Mount Misen.
The view of the inland sea was fantastic and we managed to avoid the ‘dangerous’ Japanese Macaques!
