Siem Reap - Ta Phrom

Siem Reap offers a wide range of accommodation, from hostel dorms to 5 star hotels and is expanding rapidly. Loads of foreigners have opened bars and guest-houses and the famous ‘Angkor What?’ was the first pub to open on what is now Pub Street.

Decided to extend our trip to 3 days and arranged a full day tour of the main Temples on Thursday. There are huge groups of Korean & Japanese tourists so it’s well worth having a private guide so that you can avoid them. All the big tours to Angkor Wat at dawn, then Angkor Throm then finish at Ta Phrom – so we did it backwards (and skipped the dawn thing entirely!)

The roots will eventually destroy the the temples but right now they are the only thing holding them together.
