Got to the boat on time and set off to see if the outer reef was accessible (answer, no) so we did two dives inside the reef instead. Visibility was better today and the sites were very interesting despite being in only 12 metres of water.

The hard corals are immense – with each colony stretching 10-20m across in places. One huge coral plateau was a cleaning station for sharks and we saw 3 big grey reef sharks, one of which was heavily pregnant.

On the second dive (this time with rash vest, hooded vest, 3mm full suit & 3mm shortie on top!) we saw our first Wobbegong Shark, several Black Sail-fin Catfish and this Frogfish.

Really enjoyed our stay at Coral Bay and definitely worth the drive up here. The guys at Ningaloo Reef Divers and the People’s Park Caravan Village were excellent!
