Nullarbor - WA & SA border

The 1877 Eucla Telegraph Station.
The original township was engulfed by sand dunes so they moved 12km inland.

Head of Bight – stunning scenery

Spent the night at the WA/SA Border Village roadhouse which had a surprisingly good beer / wine list and menu. They have an Essex girl working there but unfortunately she wasn’t on shift to talk to.

Far from it being an ordeal, we really enjoyed driving the Nullarbor Plain. There is some amazing scenery along the way, the roadsigns have become photo ops & bits of the road are even marked as emergency runway for the Flying Doctors.

What they should tell you however, is how mind-numbingly-boring the wheat belt is once you’re off the plain and supposedly back in civilization between Port Augusta & Adelaide!
