We had read about the diving on the Tasman Peninsula so stopped in at Eaglehawk Dive Centre (eaglehawkdive.com.au) in Eaglehawk Neck. They have a great set-up, with a purpose built dorm-house, training pool and even let campervans hook up to the diveshop and use their facilities.
This little 6-pax boat provides access to one of the best temperate eco-systems in the world. (By the way, what they call temperate – we’d call wintry, the water temp was 14 C!).
On the way to Waterfall Bay, a huge pod of dolphins and Australian Fur Seas came to play in the boat wake. The seals were porpoising through the water just like the dolphins and checking us out.

Diving in kelp is like flying through the trees and these enormous plants can grow 30cm a day!
