11 Jan - Freycinet National Park

We were at a fuel station this morning in Coles Bay, when who should we see, but Christine on her way to the bakery! We had the same plan to do the famous 5 hour circuit walk in Freycinet NP so we knew we would meet again later that day. Sure enough, we met her and Gert again on Hazard Beach (albeit going in the opposite direction).

We stopped for lunch on Wineglass Bay and it was bliss to take the hiking boots off for a minute and paddle in the sea.
Sam got mugged by a seagull using the “land-on-hat-pushing-brim-into-victim’s-eyes-whilst-snatching-sandwich” technique. (She wasn’t very happy. It’s never a good idea to take food off Sam – especially not halfway through a 5 hour hike!)

The views from the lookout over Wineglass Bay were spectacular and well worth the walk.
