When they started harassing the visitors – including us, one of the staff grabbed the fire hose and signaled for the water to be turned on. The chap then held on to the hose for dear life and the monkeys pelted back down the valley!

Dinner had been reserved at The Hard Wok Café (I kid you not) a little café owned by 'Betty' and her husband, perched 50 metres down the hillside. The loo was an experience - a sparkling tiled cubicle hanging over the edge of the mountain!

Betty’s husband cooked us the best meal so far – all washed down with copious amounts of beer and shots of Chinese fire-water Baijuo (sp?).
